Big Walk Guide
Big Walk Local Multiplayer: Is Local Play Supported?
Big Walk local multiplayer is not listed as an official feature. Big Walk is currently presented as an online cooperative game with crossplay, not as a same-device multiplayer game.
Does Big Walk support local multiplayer?
Official game information does not list local multiplayer. Online multiplayer and crossplay are supported, but House House has not announced couch co-op, split-screen, or other same-device multiplayer modes.
What the official information confirms
Big Walk is described as an online cooperative multiplayer game. Friends connect to a world created by a host, and cross-platform online play is supported across the officially listed platforms.
The promoted multiplayer features center on online co-op, host-based joining, proximity voice communication, and crossplay. Local multiplayer is not included in that confirmed feature set.
Local play is not the same as online co-op
Online co-op means players connect through separate online sessions. Support for 2–12 online players does not mean that two people can share one machine.
Couch co-op and split-screen status
House House has not announced couch co-op, split-screen, or another shared-device mode for Big Walk. Players should plan to use separate online connections.
What players can use now
The confirmed multiplayer option is to organize a group of friends and join the host online. There is no random matchmaking, so players arrange that group themselves.
Crossplay lets friends on Windows, macOS, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 play online together. This does not convert the game into local multiplayer on any one device.
Can two people play on the same device?
A second online player is supported through the 2-player world, but House House has not announced support for two local users on one device. The same applies to PS5 local multiplayer, LAN, and offline multiplayer.
