Big Walk Matchmaking: How Groups Play Together

Big Walk matchmaking does not randomly place players with strangers. You need to organize your own group of friends, then join a world created by one dependable host.

Does Big Walk have matchmaking?

No. Big Walk has no random online matchmaking. Official guidance recommends playing with people you know, or people you want to know better, across multiple sessions.

Why groups organize themselves

Big Walk is a long-form cooperative game intended for the same group to play together from start to finish. Its design centers on communication, teamwork, exploration, and puzzles.

Automatic stranger matching is not part of that confirmed structure. Players arrange the group before starting.

Choose the host before the first session

The host creates the world and owns its automatically saved progress. That person must reopen the save when the group returns.

Choose someone likely to remain available across sessions. House House has not announced host migration or save transfers between hosts.

Choose a world for stable attendance

The host selects a 2-player, 3-player, or 4+ world. Official guidance says to choose for regular participants rather than people who may join only occasionally.

How friends join

Friends join the world created by the host, but House House has not published a complete account or invitation walkthrough. The important limitation is clear: the game will not find random teammates for you.
