Players can find an active friend's session through their platform friends list or enter a short Join Code generated by the host.
Platform friends list
When the host is on a player's friends list for the platform currently being used, the host's active game automatically appears in the friends-game menu.
Join Codes
Players who are not connected through a platform friends list can use a Join Code. The game generates a short, unique code each time the host starts a session, and the host can share it outside the game.
The official FAQ does not publish the exact code length or character format.
No automatic matchmaking
Big Walk does not match strangers automatically. It is designed as a long-form cooperative game played with an organized group over multiple sessions.
