Verified summary
Choose a dependable host, select the world size that fits the regular group, join through friends lists or a Join Code, and treat communication and exploration as central parts of play.
Before the first session
Big Walk supports 2–12 online players and has no true single-player mode. The host chooses a 2-player, 3-player, or 4+ world, so organize the group before creating the save.
Choose a host who can return for later sessions. Progress saves automatically to that host, and the host must reopen the game for the group to continue.
Join and communicate
Friends can join through a supported platform friends list or a short Join Code generated for the host session. There is no automatic matchmaking.
Voice and text communication change with distance and the environment. Pointing, waving, and tools such as walkie-talkies provide other ways to coordinate.
Explore at the group's pace
Big Walk centers on teamwork, talking, exploration, and puzzles. Share observations and allow each player time to inspect the environment.
A complete step-by-step puzzle walkthrough is not yet documented on this page, keeping the beginner guide spoiler-light.
